Well if you have the money bring him to the vets!! its happened most likely due to ane ear infection or ear mites so clean ears out with warm SOAP AND WATER......

1.ICE PACK ON THE EAR

2.STAY CALM DON'T ACT LIKE ANYTHINGS WRONG BECAUSE IT WILL MAKE HIM Nervous!!
Love with a warm blanket and try to get him to stop FLAPPING his ears!!!!!
That is the cause of the swelling
3.His skin and cartilage has separated and caused blood build up,this is called

Aural Hematomas 

now if the swelling doesn't go 

down in 2 days PLEASE bring

 him-her in for they will

 need to cut open the ear flap

 drain the blood and stich

TO Prevent:CLEAN your DOGS EARS!!!

every week with a thin sheet material with soap and water

and he will never go through this again

Well I had to bring him to the vet to take a needle and suck out the blood that built up in his ear, charged $260 then said to come back in 2 weeks for an opperation if it didn't go away!!

UPDATE its back, id like to take a FAST class top do it myself!!
   I don't have the money for this I don't have food money let alone ear money, what am I going to do, he doesn't seem to be in pain...

How Are Hot Spots Treated? First, your vet will attempt to determine the cause of hot spots. Whether it is a flea allergy, an anal gland infection or stress, the underlying issue needs to be taken care of. Treatment may also include the following: Shaving of the hair surrounding the lesion, which allows air and medication to reach the wound Cleansing the hot spot with a non-irritating solution Antibiotics and painkillers Medication to prevent and treat parasites E-collar or other means to prevent self-trauma as the area heals Balanced diet to help maintain healthy skin and coat Dietary supplement containing essential fatty acids Corticosteroids or antihistamines to control itching Hypoallergenic diet for foodallergies
